Introduction:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Caregiver to join our team and provide high-quality care to our clients. The Caregiver will be responsible for assisting clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation, as well as providing companionship and support. The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively with clients of all ages.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily living activities,  meal preparation, running errands, transport to doc appointments

• Provide companionship and support to clients, including engaging in activities and conversation

• Assist with medication  

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care

• Communicate effectively with clients and their families, as well as other team members and management

• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures

• Other duties as assigned

• Safely transport clients to and from the day center in the morning and afternoon.

• Provide transportation to and from community outings, appointments, or special events.

• Ensure the vehicle is maintained, clean, fueled, and in good working condition.

• Assist clients with boarding and exiting the vehicle, using proper safety procedures and equipment (e.g., lifts, seatbelts, walkers)

Client Engagement:

• Interact warmly and respectfully with all clients.

• Participate in activities, games, and conversations while at the center.

• Support clients’ needs with patience and attentiveness, promoting dignity and engagement.

Center Support Duties:

• Help maintain cleanliness and tidiness of common areas, restrooms, and dining areas.

• Assist with setup and breakdown of activities as needed.

• Follow all safety and health protocols in compliance with center guidelines.

• Communicate any concerns regarding client wellbeing or behavior to the appropriate staff.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain (preferred).

• Experience working with older adults or individuals with disabilities (preferred).

• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine care for people.

• Ability to lift and assist clients as needed.

• Must pass background checks

Work Environment:

• Operates both indoors and in a vehicle throughout the day.

• Requires physical activity including sitting, standing, walking, light lifting, and assisting individuals.

  
  

  Work hours: Monday-Friday 8am-3:30pm
